Minneapolis Trip

Photo 1: Me at my friend Chris’s advertising agency office. His office has a swing in it. Ladies, how do you like that upside down ass shot?
Photo 2: Illinois at Minnesota Football. Out in front of the new stadium with a couple of the U of M cheerleaders.
Photo 3: Inside the stadium for the game sitting in the Illinois section. We sure led a few raucus “I-L-L!” chants.
Photo 4: At the Mall of America in front of my favorite ride, Avatar. My friend Dan threw up after riding it.

After World Series win, Joe Girardi stops to help crashed motorist:

Police say Girardi stopped in the wee hours Thursday to help a motorist who crashed her car into a wall after losing control on the Cross Country Parkway in suburban Westchester County.

The crash happened at a particularly dangerous section of roadway, so it not only surprised police to see Girardi on the scene jumping up and down and waving his arms to flag them down, but it also worried them.

On Tuesday, the gluteally gifted socialite, who recently turned 29, donned boxing gloves and stepped into the ring to engage in fisticuffs with a female, um, fan – all for charity, of course. But her all-pink outfit did little to distract her opponent, and Kim went down in a flurry of blows.

Her opponent had won the right as part of an auction for charity, The Dream Foundation, that took place at the Commerce Casino in Commerce, Calif. But despite the philanthropic goal, Kardashian admitted beforehand that she was a bit anxious about her upcoming brawl.

This girl was probably ugly. And LOL at the phrase “flurry of blows”.

So I’m watching some of American Pie 2 and there’s a part where Stifler tells Oz to go long so he can throw a football near a group of girls, with the hopes that Oz makes a good catch and is able to gain their interest. It’s a standard move performed by many TV and movie characters.

In reality, this doesn’t work. Or at least I saw a hilariously bad attempt at it. We’re in FL on what I still called my spring break even though I was a year out of college. We were at the beach with a cooler of beer tossing the football around. And one of the guys was not-so-secretly trying to send one of us towards a group of girls sunbathing. Well, one throw got away from him…

…and by “got away from him” I mean that he ended up tossing a bomb that literally smacked a girl right in her stomach as she was sunbathing… to the point where you could see it left a mark when she stood up. We tried not laughing but I just could not help myself, which ended up making us look even more like assholes.

So, we had that going for us… which is nice.
