This is going to dramatically improve flying for me.  Once it is implemented fleet-wide in several companies, the rate of $12.95 to use the internet will likely drop to something like $5.99.  I would say that I’m excited for Southwest to jump on this, but they’re going to struggle with that fuel hedge for the next few years and offering cheaper regional flights.  It’s a sad state of affairs if American Airlines is the innovator of the industry.  JetBlue, Southwest, and Virgin should be the ones pioneering in service in America.  Unfortunately, they don’t have the budget for R&D because they’re just trying to stay alive.
