After some deliberation with myself, I have decided that it is time for the original Streets of Chicago blog to come to a close.  I just don’t have the time and boredom I once had to blog consistently and with good effort.  In celebration of my blog’s life, I will be posting My Top 10 All Time Favorite Streets of Chicago posts leading up to this weekend (I need until the weekend because I need to go through about 4000 posts).

For those of you who wish to stay in touch, please do!  I will still be on Tumblr checking out everyone else’s blogs for my amusement.  And if you don’t want to put forth the effort of keeping in touch or you worry that your morning session of time-wasting at work will be incomplete without me, have no fear.  I leave this format to bring you a new form of entertainment.  In my new blog/website with a name TBD, I will be posting columns about various topics of my choosing (ranging from personal experiences and funny stories to sports, entertainment, city living, nightlife, restaurant picks and critiques, photography, fashion… yes, fashion, and more).  I will also enter the podcast and video format where I will be chatting with an assortment of folks (including Tumblrs and Tumblrettes) and visiting fun places inside and outside of Chicago.  The posts will be less frequent, but I promise will be more entertaining.

Anyway, sorry frequent followers about dropping the bomb.  If you have recommendations about your favorite posts of all time, email me.  Until then, I’m out!  PEACE!
